This product is a fiber optic grating strain sensor (FBG strain gauge for strain measurement) encapsulated with polymer material and seamless steel tube, with a standard measurement range of 3000με. Most of the time, it has a single-point single-ended structure, or is produced as a multi-point single-ended structure, and in a few cases, it can also be a double-ended structure. The deployment method of this product depends on the supporting fixture, it can be directly inserted into the measured object for use, or can be used with the corresponding fixture for surface welding installation, hole drilling bolt fixation installation, adhesive surface mounting, zip tie binding fixation installation, clamp fixation installation, and other installation and fixation methods. This product is a basic structure product and can be calibrated as a fiber optic grating displacement sensor, or calculated as a fiber optic grating stress sensor.
Product Overview:
The OFSCN® 3000με FBG Strain Sensor (FBG Strain Gauge) consists of an optical fiber connector (FC, SC, LC, ST, etc.), high-elastic material, and a single-point fiber optic grating (FBG) encapsulation. Depending on the material used, it can operate at room temperature or up to a high temperature of 150 degrees Celsius (customizable as needed).
This product features a compact size, light weight, high tensile strength, high compressive strength, waterproof and moisture-proof, and fully sealed. Utilizing the strain characteristics of the FBG, this sensor can be inserted, welded, surface-mounted, or adhered to the interior or surface of the structure to be measured for strain detection and monitoring.
It can be widely used in various industries such as industrial equipment, metal, cranes, concrete, railways, military equipment, aerospace, etc., for single-point or multi-point quasi-distributed strain monitoring and measurement.
