Temperature Coefficient of Femtosecond Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) Sensor- Factory Calibration Function for 800°C FBG Thermometer, Ranging from -16 to 806°C and 524 to 1000°C
The OFSCN® 800°C Capillary Seamless Steel Tube Fiber Bragg Grating temperature sensor (FBG thermometer) , manufactured by DCYS, undergoes temperature calibration before leaving the factory. Along with the product, basic temperature coefficients (also known as calibration coefficients or calibration functions) of the fiber optic grating sensor are provided. The following is a brief description of the temperature calibration of the product at the time of shipment:

The OFSCN® 800°C Capillary Seamless Steel Tube Fiber Bragg Grating Temperature Sensor (FBG thermometer) adopts a fully metallic packaging method to protect the FBG. The standard product has a diameter of 2.0 millimeters and consists of a three-layer seamless steel tube nested structure. It encapsulates a high-temperature-resistant femtosecond fiber bragg grating (Femtosecond FBG). The overall structure and product are shown in Figure 1, 2, and 3 below:

Due to the unique stainless steel seamless tube patented packaging technology used in the OFSCN® 800°C Capillary Seamless Steel Tube Fiber Bragg Grating Temperature Sensor (FBG thermometer), as well as our special process treatment, it possesses high sensitivity, fast thermal conduction, good accuracy, small size, light weight, high tensile strength, high pressure resistance, high temperature resistance, water and moisture resistance, non-combustibility, and corrosion resistance.
II. Factory Test Report of the OFSCN® 800°C Capillary® Seamless Steel Pipe Femtosecond Fiber Bragg Grating Temperature Senso - Temperature Coefficient Calibration Graph
High accuracy is the lifeline of DCYS's products, a feature that is verified through the test reports of each sensor produced, as shown in the following figure:

Figure 6 displays the actual measurement graph of the temperature coefficient (calibration coefficient, calibration function) of a sold OFSCN® 800°C Capillary Seamless Steel Tube Fiber Bragg Grating Temperature Sensor (FBG thermometer). This curve shows the correspondence between the sensor's wavelength variation and temperature change. The test range is from -16 to 806°C, with temperature calibration intervals of approximately 30°C (not strictly enforced).

The OFSCN® 800°C Capillary Seamless Steel Tube Fiber Bragg Grating Temperature Sensor (FBG thermometer) can be temporarily used at higher temperatures (duration of use not tested, repeatability to be determined). Figure 7 presents the actual measurement graph of the temperature coefficient (calibration coefficient, calibration function) of a specific OFSCN® 800°C Capillary Seamless Steel Tube FBG Temperature Sensor (FBG thermometer). This curve shows the correspondence between the sensor's wavelength variation and temperature change. The main test temperature range is from 524 to 1001°C (initial temperature of 53°C), with temperature calibration intervals of approximately 40°C (not strictly enforced).
Contrary to the legend, in the official factory report, specific wavelength and temperature values will be provided. For general temperature measurements, this calibration coefficient can be directly used.
Each OFSCN® 800°C Capillary Seamless Steel Tube Fiber Bragg Grating Temperature Sensor has a unique temperature coefficient (calibration coefficient, calibration function). This coefficient (function) is tested and determined by the Quality Inspection Department of DCYS and recorded on the company's official website for customers to check at any time. Based on our experience, the R-square value of the binomial function is generally above 0.9995.
Our philosophy is: "OFSCN®, make optical fiber stronger!"
